Leaked Poco F7 Specs Hint at a Flagship Killer—But There’s a Catch
After a wave of rumors and leaks, the Poco F7 is no longer a mystery. A new regulatory listing has officially confirmed its existence, and everything points to a global launch just around the corner—possibly as soon as next month.
Multiple Certifications Hint at Imminent Release
The Poco F7 recently popped up on Thailand’s NBTC (National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission) database. This isn’t the first time we’ve seen this device in certification listings. Earlier, it appeared on the FCC website under the model number 25053PC47G, and before that, it was spotted in Singapore’s IMDA listings. The same device had already been approved by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) under a slightly different variant (25053PC47I).
Now that the NBTC has listed the model number 25053PC47G and directly linked it to the retail name Poco F7, there’s little doubt left—this device is real, and it’s almost ready to hit the shelves.
Poco F7 Is Based on the Redmi Turbo 4 Pro
Interestingly, the Poco F7 seems to be a rebranded version of the Redmi Turbo 4 Pro, which recently launched in China. The Redmi Turbo 4 Pro carries a similar model number (25053RT47C), and the two devices share many design and hardware similarities.
This strategy isn’t unusual for Xiaomi, which frequently rebrands Redmi models under the Poco name for international markets.
Powerful Specs with a Few Surprises
So, what can we expect from the Poco F7? Here are some of the standout features based on leaks and its Redmi counterpart:
- Display: A massive 6.83-inch AMOLED screen with 120Hz refresh rate and 3,200 nits peak brightness, promising buttery-smooth visuals and excellent visibility even in bright sunlight.
- Processor: Under the hood, the Poco F7 will reportedly pack the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4, one of Qualcomm’s newest high-performance chipsets.
- Battery: Here’s where it gets a bit disappointing. While the Redmi Turbo 4 Pro includes a 7,550 mAh battery, the Poco F7 might launch with a reduced 6,500 mAh capacity—likely a compromise for global market needs or design constraints.
When Can You Get It?
As of now, Xiaomi hasn’t announced an official release date. However, industry insiders, including XpertPick, suggest that the global launch could happen sometime in June. Given the sequence of certifications and past Poco launches, this timeline seems very likely.
Final Thoughts
The Poco F7 is shaping up to be a promising addition to Xiaomi’s popular budget-flagship lineup. With top-tier specs, a sleek AMOLED display, and the power of the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4, it could easily turn heads—especially if priced competitively.
